Set in an area of designated natural beauty in the foothills of the Clwydian hills Pentre Mawr Country House has a lovely romantic feel to it...set as it is in nearly 200 acres of meadows, park and woodland. There are all the little extras that you would expect in a fine country house at Pentre but it is run on a much softer line. Meals are served either in the Oak room or the formal dining room but with none of the stuffiness. We are delighted to announce that we have received 5 Stars and a dining award from the AA There are two lovely sittingrooms all with comfy sofas and portraits of Graham's ancestors. The hidden walled garden is a lovely place to sit and read or just relax and smell the roses. We are more than happy to welcome guest dogs as we have two collies and two cats of our own here. Special mid-week breaks 2 nights bed and breakfast £100 per person in a superior room or £130 per person in a suite with hot tub. Prices are per person sharing

ABOUT OUR LOCATION

Set in area of designated natural beauty in the foothills of the Clwydian hills not far from the coast and in easy reach of Snowdonia and Chester. Pentre is tucked away on nearly two hundred acres of lawns, meadow,woods and parkland with ancient oaks, with private fishing on the river Clwydog. From Denbigh take the Llandyrnog turn off and proceed to the village of Llandyrnog. At the little roundabout turn left for Bodfari. About 50 yds take a fork to left and proceed down the country lane, through a little cross roads and past large red brick barns. Pentre Mawr can be found of the left hand side just after the barns. Unfortunately due to safety issues, we do not accept children under the age of 13
